THE WORLDS TRUEST CHRISTMAS STORY

Once upon a time there was a great king who hated the G-D of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was a conquering king who spoke pompous words against the Most High. And he persecuted the true believers with much bloodshed and cruelty for they had been delivered into the kings hand. And he changed the Sabbath of the only true G-D to the sun worship day, and the Passover of The Almighty to his fertility rite day, and he made the whole world blaspheme against the one true G-D by speaking the names of other gods, and he brought into creation a new religion.

And with great zeal the people of the world followed this new king and his new religion, because they could remain as they always were, Pagans. They were told by their king that all they had to do was believe, and that they would reap the blessings of The Creator for their rebellion.

The people had only one thing left to do. They needed to cut the tree from it’s root so that they could bring it into their house, thus sanctifying their covenant and completing their new religion.

Though the LORD said not to learn the ways of the gentiles, the pagan people of this new world religion, especially those men who were dismayed at the signs of heaven, sent their men into the forest to cut the tree for their house. Because chain saws had not been invented yet, they used axes.

When the workman had severed the root from the tree, thus freeing the tree, they praised their god that the tree was no longer bound or anchored by such a cumbersome root. The workman then took the unbound tree into their house, but alas it kept falling over.

So they fastened their tree, their rootless tree with nails and with hammers. Once it finally stood, they decked it with silver and with gold to enhance its beauty. Worshiping and bowing down to their tree, and placing presents at its trunk for each other, they prayed,” If only the tree could speak to us and give us instruction..” But the tree stood there silent.

For a short time they marveled at the beauty of the tree, and the way it made their house smell. It brought so much joy to them that they started presenting each other with the gifts from the base of the tree. Each time they bowed before the tree before picking their gift to present to each other. It just seemed like the right thing to do, though nobody could explain why.

Soon after much drinking and festivities they even delighted in boasting against the root. “How useless that root was.” they laughed aloud, “And how proud our tree looks” they said.

And The Father of all Creation looked down at the disobedience and rebellion taking place and He wept saying, “ They worship me in vain, teaching the traditions of men as if it were my doctrine…” But the people of this new religion ignored G-D, and kept their traditions.

Soon after the boasting stopped, the tree dried out and turned brittle. No amount of silver and gold decking could bring the tree back to life. The needles started falling off and the people had to burn the once beautiful tree.

“What’s the problem?” they cried, “No sap.” was the reply, “the root is cut off and the tree is dead.”

In the forest, the root horribly wounded by the axes of men, but still anchored in rich soil, SENT FORTH THE BRANCH.
